KCS wishes to create an agreement (the Agreement) for the provision of a sourcing agent who will take responsibility for and act on behalf of the authority in locating and managing sources of supply for an agreed range of quality consumables at advantageous cost. To work closely with the KCS Procurement and marketing teams, acting as an extension to their purchasing departments. Work with the authority to develop a mutually acceptable price mechanism that ensures on-going cost effective buy pricing, limiting price fluctuation. Source a range of products as instructed from overseas manufacturing sources (i.e. China and the Far East). Ensure ethical manufacturing practices – modern slavery, child labour, environmental impact etc. Ensure products meet the required UK standards. Oversee quality control of all products and shipments. Arrange and manage the shipments. Act as the importer for goods into the UK. 8. Provide net pricing based on a single delivery destination (pricing to include all costs to point of delivery including any Agent fee).
