Tender description
The University of Derby is seeking tenders for the supply of external legal support services for an initial 12-month period with options to extend on an annual basis for an additional 3 years. This contract will be split into 7 lots. Whilst the internal legal services team advises the University on the full range of legal issues faced by the University, there is a requirement for timely external legal support services to complement the department’s expertise and capacity. The following are within scope of this procurement: — ad-hoc legal support on matters as they arise (including contracts and disputes), — proactive legal support (including notification and education on changes to the law which will affect UoD), — compliance with legal services’ procedures (which include approval and execution of contracts procedures) and UoD’s invoice settlement processes (including request of purchase orders in advance of starting work and inclusion of detailed narrative on all invoices), — knowledge, training and skills transfer as required, — account management, including attendance at review meetings and provision of management information, and — future development opportunities to allow the University to take advantage of any developments in this area of work which may assist in improving operational performance. Any associated costs must be included in Form T6 Pricing Schedule.
