Tender description

Tenders are invited for the supply of for insurances coverage and associated services as required by Warwick District Council (the Contracting Authority) as detailed in Section 4 of this document (Specification) where Information regarding the subject matter for the contract can be found. The services have been divided into lots and tenderers are invited to bid for all or any of the following Lots: 1) Property combined; 2) Industrial and commercial; 3) Leasehold right to buy; 4) Combined liability; 5) Motor fleet; 6) Group personal accident; 7) Combined engineering; 8) Fine art/Museums; 9) Package (Lots 1,4, and 5) The contract will be for a period of 3 years commencing 1.11.2019, with an option to extend for a further 2 years subject to satisfactory performance in the initial term. The contract value is approximately 611 100 GBP per 12-month period. This section incorporates the following classes of business: — property damage, general properties and contents, housing properties, house owners, — works in progress, — business interruption – gross revenue, — business interruption – additional expenditure, — business interruption – rent receivable, — computers, — money, — special property all risks, — theft, — glass further details are available within the tender documents. Buildings and Loss of Rent on the premises as detailed in table in Appendix 2.1 and the following extensions of cover are to be read as part of the specification of cover and required by the Council. Tenders will be evaluated on their policy cover scope in terms of these extensions — automatic reinstatement of the sum insured, — capital additions 2 500 000 GBP, — contracting purchasers interest; — cover for walls, gates, fences, paths, roads, yards, car parks, street furniture, outside buildings, annexes, pipes, sewer pipes, gutters, cables and meters, including those underground, landlords' fixtures and fittings all specified within the sum insured; — debris removal and stock debris removal costs; — denial of access - rent; — drain and gutter clearance; — fire extinguishing expenses; — interests; — local authorities requirements; — non-invalidation clause; — professional fees; — professional accountants; — tenants subrogation waiver; — trace and access — 25 000 GBP; — 72-hour clause further information is available in the tender documents. This lot incorporates the following classes of business: — leasehold right to buy properties purchased under appropriate legislation; — shared ownership property further information will be within the tender documents. This lot incorporates the following classes of business: — employers liability, — public and products liability; — officials indemnity; — libel and slander; — land charges; — public health act; — professional indemnity; — fidelity guarantee; — hirers liability further information will be available within the tender documents. Vehicles Insured Vehicles owned, leased and operated by the Insured including vehicles on hire or loan for which the Insured becomes responsible. Cover required — comprehensive cover (accidental damage, fire, theft and windscreen) including trailers attached or detached, — cover to include whilst driving for social domestic and pleasure purposes in addition to the business of the insured. Further information will be provided within the tender documentation. Cover required: accidental death or bodily injury or assault including terrorism sustained by the insured person(s) during the operative times as detailed in the tender documents. Cover for damage to insured and plant and other property as detailed within the tender documentation. Cover description ‘All Risks’ of accidental loss or damage including theft and ‘in transit’ in respect of Gallery and Museum Exhibits of every description and/or Civic Plate and regalia comprising silver and gold items and/or other historic pieces and/or Works of Art of whatsoever nature forming part of the Council’s collection and/or on loan. Lot 8 invites ‘Package’ bids from suppliers in respect of the following lots only Lot 1 – Property (including computers, contract works, business interruption, money and all risks) Lot 4 – Casualty (combined liability) Lot 5 – general motor fleet suppliers submitting a bid under this lot must ensure that they provide a response to all of the individual quality criteria which are detailed under the Award Criteria for Lots 1, 4 and 5.
