Tender description

The provision of design, supply, installation, commissioning and service management of a distributed antenna system. The authority wishes to contract with Zinwave Ltd for the provision of design, supply, installation, commissioning and service management of a distributed antenna system to support the deployment of the Emergency Service Network across the Parliamentary Estate for a period of 5 years (3 + 1 + 1), at an estimated cost of GBP 4.5 million. Following detailed research, the authority has identified Zinwave Ltd as the only commercially available economic operator capable of meeting the authority’s requirements to support a minimum of six mobile bands (800, 900, 1800, 2100, 2300, 2600), TDD and FDD; as well as tetra and/or DMR at 380-470 MHz via a single transport system that is wideband and distributed via fibre optic cable. They are able to provide the addition of further carriers with the 150-2700 MHz band without the need to upgrade or replace any field equipment as well as avoiding the requirement for the system to require leaky feeder cable which would not be reasonably possible in Grade I listed locations on the Parliamentary Estate. Zinwave Ltd also offer a system scalable for installation across the Parliamentary Estate from one single base-station hotel. Zinwave Ltd is the only economic operator with the necessary know-how, capabilities and tools at its disposal to provide these services.
