RIVER NITH OVERCAIRN CORRIDOR RESTORATION HYDRAULIC MODELLING & TECHNICAL DESIGN

Tender description

The Services to be commissioned are to develop the outline designs for river restoration at Over Cairn into ‘technical for construction’ drawings and including updating and undertaking modelling for Over Cairn proposals and the wider river restoration scheme between New Cumnock to March Bridge. This will include reviewing and updating existing catchment hydrology, and updating hydraulic models to incorporate changes present on the ground (including as-built Afton Water flood scheme, completed restoration works at Castlemains Farm and Meikle Garclaugh Farm, and latest proposals for Blackwood) as well as developing and modelling restoration designs for Over Cairn. The detailed design will be informed by the hydraulic modelling results, the outline design and the preferences of the Employer.
