Tender description

The purpose of this exercise is to gather feedback from the market prior to formally publishing the Invitation to Tender for the BEIS Climate Services for a Net-Zero resilient World contract. The Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) is intending to procure a research, evidence, and translation programme to provide climate services for its workstreams. The programme will provide up-to-date policy-relevant evidence and scientific advice to inform a range of international and domestic policy issues. The service will provide transdisciplinary underpinning new analysis and modelling, covering a range of sectors including climate impacts, co-benefits of climate action, and decarbonisation pathways, as well as support in reviewing international climate science reports. It will also provide a comprehensive user-centred translation service including use of innovative data visualisation tools and communications techniques. Please return any comments you have in response to the questions in the attached draft ITT cover sheet, by 5 p.m., Friday 8 January. We intend to publish the final Invitation to Tender at the end of January 2021. Specific questions we would like suppliers to provide feedback on are on the cover sheet along with a draft of the ITT.
