Tenders are invited from competent Building Contractors in relation to the construction of The Ballina Innovation Quarter, comprising of the refurbishment /restoration of the protected structure Ballina Military Barracks at Market Square, Ballina, Co. Mayo. The Project involves the complete refurbishment/conservation of the Military Barracks, a complex of 3 No. 2 storey courtyard buildings circa 1740 protected structure (in varying stages of repair) - which will include Office, Circulation and Welfare facilities, in the ownership of Mayo County Council. The finished complex will be a coherent and harmonious synthesis of old and new building systems respecting best construction practice and conservation principles.
