Establishment of Frameworks for Leadership and Management Development

Lot 1 – Multi Party Framework for the Provision of Leadership and Management Development. Bus Eireann are looking to establish a Multi Party Framework of various service providers to cover the scope below. Participants of the Framework are not required to provide all stages of the scope. Work may be allocated by through a mini tender process to the companies which meeting Bus Eireann’s requirements. Bus Éireann has embarked on an ambitious vision ‘Destination 2023’ with the goal established ‘to be the most customer-centred and sustainable transport company in Ireland with services delivered by people who believe in Bus Éireann as a great place to work’. At the heart of this ambition is a statement of purpose ‘As Ireland’s national bus company, our purpose is to connect people with who and what matters to them, helping to make life better’. A new set of corporate values have been articulated alongside 4 strategic objectives. Strategic Objective no 2 is to ‘Develop leadership at every level and establish a culture of performance to become a great place to work’. To achieve that objective of developing leadership Bus Eireann is currently progressing through a process with a partner to do the following Stage 1 – Establish clarity of expectations for Bus Éireann leadership and management based on Destination 2023. This needs to specifically address actions and behaviours we expect to see from Leaders & Managers. Stage 2 - Assess current capability in line with those expectations, particularly measuring actions and behaviours. Once Stage 1 and 2 is completed Stage 3 will need to develop a suite of development supports and interventions to achieve the desired capability; depending on the design of those supports, there may be a role to oversee the implementation of the roadmap.
