Wolverhampton City Council wishes to invite Contractors experienced in the supply and installation of sports flooring solutions to submit tenders for the replacement and works associated with the replacement of the indoor Sports Hall Flooring at the WV Active Aldersley facility located in the City of Wolverhampton. WV Active Aldersley is a comprehensive sports facility offering an array of activities for everyone, WV Active Aldersley is part of WV Active As well as a modern gym, the centre has an exercise studio and spin studio with state-of-the-art equipment. WV Active Aldersley first class indoor and outdoor facilities are perfect for hosting events. During the Covid-19 Lockdown in March/April 2020 the Council used the sports facility to run the operation of the Food Distribution Hub which prepared and distributed over 1 Million food parcels to vulnerable citizens across the city. As a result of running the Food Distribution Hub from the premises for a six-month period, the Sports Hall flooring surface has been damaged generating the requirement for a contractor that has the experience and expertise to replace this particular type of flooring. The form of contract will be JCT Minor Works Building Contract (MW) 2016. It is assumed that any supplier returning a tender for this requirement will have a copy and is familiar with these terms and conditions and will have previous experience of executing contracts on this basis. This contract includes a Defects Liability Period (DLP) of 6 months. It should be noted it is the Council's intention that this requirement will be awarded to a single supplier who will be responsible for the delivery of the entire works.
