Tender description

The College of Engineering & Physical Sciences (EPS) at Aston University, in particular the Aston Institute of Urban Technologies and Aston Institute of Material Research (AIMR) are looking to purchase 1 x closed loop sorption gravimetric analyser "Dynamic Vapour Sorption (DVS) Analyser". The equipment will be used to measure the real time measurement for sorption and thermochemical characteristics of powders and solids at grams and m-grams level. This includes: • Adsorption characteristics for gases "non flow" (e.g. Ammonia), water vapour and vapour of organic solvents. • Surface area determination (BET). • Surface energy determination. • Isoactivity analysis. • Amorphous content analysis. • Diffusion analysis. • Heat of sorption analysis. • Activation energy analysis. • Permeability Analysis.
