Tender description

Manufacture, supply and maintenance of fully automated welding systems following successful design and prototype development and testing if required to bring proposed equipment in line with specification. The purpose of this procurement is to secure a contract for the manufacture, supply and maintenance of a new portable arc welding generator in line with the new NR specification (Jan ’20) following submitted designs. The Arc Welding Generator is an auxiliary power supply (APS) unit used in Arc Welding operations across the network. These APS units are specifically designed to supply power to arc welding operations with a new requirement of meeting NR ergonomics standards for operation by a 2-person team. As above, the objective of this procurement exercise is to secure a replacement APS unit suitable for a 2-person lift of maximum 25 kg per person.
