Tender description

Kingston Shopmobility Service, part of a national scheme, provides short-term hire of wheelchairs and scooters to enable people with mobility needs to get around Kingston Town Centre. The service is run by Kingston Council. Any member of the public, with a mobility need, can access the service either on a one-off basis or through ongoing membership to the service. Customers are required to register with the service and all new customers are required to complete a new user assessment, carried out by a Shopmobility member of staff. Customers mainly use the service to access shops, restaurants and leisure facilities.
