Tender description

The design and construction of a vessel used for the maintenance of buoys and lighthouses to replace the current Trinity House Vessel ‘PATRICIA’. Trinity House is seeking to replace the ageing THV PATRICIA. The vessel that fulfils this requirement will be of a similar size to the 2007 built THV GALATEA. The replacement vessel is required to have low emissions and to incorporate Hybrid power concepts. Further to this it will require a hull form and layout designed to convey significantly enhanced performance in heavy weather. The response speed is to be no less than 14 knots. Service speed to be approximately 10.5 knots. The major constraint on dimensions is that of draft which cannot exceed 4.3 m to enable the vessel to work out of Trinity House bases. The vessel will be dynamically positioned to DP2 standard.
