Healthcare waste collection and disposal services from authority premises such as health centres, community hospitals, community nursing bases, day centres, in patient hospices, independent GPs, community pharmacies, independent dentists, inpatient and outpatient facilities. Healthcare waste collection and disposal services from authority premises such as health centres, community hospitals, community nursing bases, day centres, in patient hospices, independent GPs, community pharmacies, independent dentists, inpatient and outpatient facilities. The waste services will include collection, treatment, recycling and final disposal of healthcare waste including all items from chapter 18 01 of the European Waste Catalogue (EWC) and patient returned medicines (EWC 20 01 31/32) and to include any further classifications and changes under the description of healthcare waste as defined by the Healthcare Technical Memorandum (HTM) 07-01 safe management of healthcare waste. To include any subsequent future updates to the HTM 07-01 and any changes to legislation during the lifespan of the contract.
