Tender description
Hampshire County Council has been exploring the potential for Collaborative robots (‘Cobots’) in care delivery. While the term ‘Cobots’ broadly covers a range of robots designed to be used in conjunction with humans across a range of industries, we use the term Cobots to refer to active robotic exoskeletons: external apparatus worn to protect carers around their lower back as they deliver physical care and move and support vulnerable people and not robotic devices that move or act autonomously in any way. We are engaging with the market to see how this area of technology is developing. We have drafted a short survey around some of the issues and challenges with regard to this emerging technology and would be grateful if you are able to spend a few minutes to respond using the in-tend website by Friday 8 January 2021.
