Tender description

The works comprises an extension to the existing building in two places (one with an earlier finish date) to provide an enhanced entrance, reception, admin area, new café facility with commercial kitchen and a new Fabrication Laboratory ‘FAB LAB’ facility comprising a workshop area, CNC machine room, offices, new/relocated kiln room, new/ relocated print studio, associated loud and quiet group work areas and ancillary accommodation. In addition, there is some works that will be required to make good the existing building, including some internal and external re-finishing of the existing, and recovering of the green roof area of the existing building. Demolition works and re-routing of some services will be required to enable the extension. Externally, new surfacing works and the relocation of some existing elements will be required and new surfacing implemented, the car park will be extended with new surfaces and the existing car park will have new space markers added, a section of retaining wall, and associated new boundary treatments and old boundary removal works (boundary is being enlarged) and all associated site works.
