Tender description

Nottinghamshire County Council and Culture, Learning and Libraries – Midlands require a contractor to deliver a high standard of window and gutter cleaning services for their sites across Nottinghamshire County. Nottinghamshire County Council are undertaking a competitive procurement exercise with the objective being to award two contracts for window and gutter cleaning services to a single tenderer; one contract to meet the requirements of the Council and the other contract to meet the requirements of culture, learning and libraries — Midlands. Nottinghamshire County Council and Culture, Learning and Libraries — Midlands manage the maintenance of a significant number of sites across Nottinghamshire which includes the co-ordination of window and gutter cleaning services. The maintenance requirements for these sites which will be covered under the contracts includes: • cleaning of internal windows, which for some sites includes high-level internal glass e.g. skylights and mezzanines; • cleaning of external windows and signage which for some sites includes cleaning of other types of structures e.g. canopy’s; • gutter cleaning. In addition to the main requirements of the contracts the capability to be able to deliver one-off deep cleaning services (for example in circumstances where a site has been vacant for some time or where a site requires high level cleaning of internal walls) is desirable but not mandatory. The estimated contract value for the agreement with Nottinghamshire County Council is GBP 110 000 per annum. The estimated contract value for the agreement with culture, learning and libraries — Midlands is GBP 9 000 per annum. The maximum term of this contract will be 4 years. The initial contract will be awarded for 2 years from 9 April 2021 to 8 April 2023 with an opportunity to extend for a further 2 years in increments of up to 1 year.
