<p>MDDC is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified contractor to deliver the renewal of vinyl sheet flooring to its properties supporting the Responsive Repairs Works, Development, the Disabled Facilities Grant works and the Void process at numerous Council houses within Mid Devon during the financial years from 2021-2024 The aim is to provide fit for purpose flooring within the timescales aligned to the Responsive Repairs, Development, Disabled Facilities Grant and Void works. In addition to installing the flooring on specific days of the week, the contractor will be required to remove and replace the white goods in the bathrooms to allow the sheet flooring to be run continuously under and behind items, including but not limited to, the wash hand basin, toilet, shower tray and cubicle. Completing the works within the timescales required by the Responsive Repairs Service, the Disabled Facilities team and the Voids team are &ldquo;of the essence&rdquo; of this Contract. Contractors are to make themselves aware of the significance of this contractual phrase. Failure to meet this criteria will be a fundamental breach of this contract. The Contract shall be awarded for three years, starting 1 April 2021 and terminating on the 31 March 2024. The works will be carried out in three phases, starting and completing as follows. Phase 1 Start 5 April 2021 Completion 31 March 2022 Phase 2 Start 1 April 2022 Completion 31 March 2023 Phase 3 Start 1 April 2023 Completion 31 March 2024 Although this is a three year contract, award of each subsequent phase from 1 April 2021 onwards will be subject to the approval of the Director of Operations There is no guarantee that the works will be awarded for any subsequent phase (2 &amp; 3).</p> Keywords: Flooring, carpet, Laminate, Repair, Maintenance, vinyl
