Supply of rotary screw traps

Tender description

Inland Fisheries Ireland require a maximum of two rotary screw traps (RSTs) in order to capture salmonid smolts for tagging purposes each year to assess marine survival of stocks and assist with estimates of stock size for both salmon and sea trout populations. Tenders to supply RSTs are requested as follows (please provide separate quotes for each): • 1 x 4ft rotary screw trap and transport trailer and delivery. • 1 x 5 ft rotary screw trap and transport trailer and delivery. • 2 x 4ft rotary screw trap and transport trailer and delivery. • 2 x 5 ft rotary screw trap and transport trailer and delivery. The cost of the trailer should be explicitly itemised in the quote. Quotes where a transport trailer cannot be provided will also be considered. An estimated time of delivery should also be indicated. Delivery is to: Inland Fisheries Ireland Aasleagh Lodge, Leenane, Co. Mayo, Ireland The RST design should be comparable with those already in use in this field and tender submissions that do not meet these requirements will be excluded from the evaluation. Award criteria: RST design should be comparable with those already in use in this field, and thereafter the lowest cost will form the basis of awarding the tender.
