Tender description
The objective will be to consult with residents in Cheshire West and Chester on the proposed changes to the Social Welfare and Advice service. Cheshire West and Chester propose introducing a community-based model within existing identified community settings to deliver a satellite provision outside of the traditional office-based model. This community-based model promotes the social welfare and advice being delivered closer to residents own homes. Cheshire West and Chester are keen to understand • How resident currently access social welfare and advice • Residents description of current social welfare and advice • How provision of social welfare and advice can be improved • What are the currently gaps in the services? • Preferable methods of accusing social welfare and advice • What service would be delivered / not delivered • When services would be available • How services could be accessed • What the impact of the change of service would be • What the positive impact on residents would be • What the negative impact on residents would be We would like to hear the views of all residents, clients and stakeholders of current social welfare and advice provision. Consultation feedback will be used to inform a new model of social welfare and advice and improve the support for residents across Cheshire West and Chester. We want to ensure that the development of new services reflect the feedback and experiences of residents and how they wish to be supported in the future <strong>Approach </strong> We would like to the consultant to conduct a formal consultation to gather the views of the public to inform the proposals for the recommissioning of the Cheshire West and Chester Social Welfare and Advice services. We would like the consultant to use a blended offer of methodologies of engagement to achieve this. It is intended the consultation will be undertaken for a period of 8 weeks from January to March 2020. Consultation will involve gaining the views of the general public, service users, stakeholders and partners. Using engagement methods residents will be invited to feedback on the proposed model using online forms, paper-based questionnaires, and targeted consultation via engagement events for current service users.
