Tender description

The London Borough of Hackney, on behalf of Primary Schools within the borough, will soon be conducting a restricted tendering process and inviting bids from sufficiently qualified contractors to procure cleaning services at multiple (estimated at approximately 16 sites initially, but up to approximately 50 will be named) educational sites within Hackney. A key objective of this contract will be for services to be delivered to a high standard of quality and achieve value for money for schools in Hackney. It is essential that the contractor is able to meet the ongoing demands presented by the Covid-19 pandemic effectively. It is anticipated that a single supplier framework contract will commence from 1 June 2021 for an initial period of 2 years, with the option to extend for a further 2 years in annual increments. Bidders must be experienced in delivering cleaning services and must employ a sufficient number of suitably qualified staff to deliver the contract. Consortium bids and subcontracting arrangements will be considered as part of this procurement exercise.
