The challenge is to attract UK exporters and potential importers in Belgium with innovative projects which should create a positive trend in the restaurant sector. Focus should be placed on Quality Standard Mark for UK beef and lamb, Red Tractor or PGI options. In order to develop the awareness of the QSM, Red Tractor and the PGI West Country, AHDB France would like the agency to present a yearly activity/event designed to increase significantly the visibility of these schemes to restaurants in Brussels (preferably). The event could take the format of a seminar/workshop to communicate with participants followed by a dinner to showcase assured products. The event can take place anywhere in Belgium but preferably in Brussels. Our audience target is both traditional and modern concepts of restaurants that focus on red meat as a key feature of their menus. The agency must have good contacts with meat specialized food journalists, food writers, bloggers and other key opinion formers. The agency is expected to provide a programme of field marketing activities designed to secure the presence of differentiated St George lamb and St George beef in Belgian supermarkets. It is a requirement of this contract that the successful agency has good experience and contacts with retailers (central buying offices) and with meat managers at store level.
