Tender description
Southampton City Council invites applications from suitably experienced organisations who wish to tender for the creation of the Knowledge Hub. The knowledge hub will provide a comprehensive directory of resources, accessible to both the public and staff through a number of routes e.g. web and CRM, available locally to people with children (including those with Special Educational Needs and Disability), adults (including those with social care needs), their carers, families and other interested parties. Relevant and specific advice and information will be made available to enable people to find an appropriate solution for themselves and also to plan ahead and make informed choices. This will include information and advice to those planning their care or health and wellbeing activities, including for people who are self-funders. The knowledge hub should support an “asset-based” approach to personalisation. This will include community services, self-help groups and leisure pursuits. The aspiration is for the knowledge hub to be the first stop for advice and information about services for adults and children in Southampton (any development of information for children should be able to support the legal requirements of a Local Offer). The knowledge hub will provide information and advice to enable individuals to conceptualise the idea of planning and support planning at the earliest opportunity. Information should emphasise the importance of understanding personal health and wellbeing and reflect age specific requirements while encouraging increased planning for the future. A minimum of three and a maximum of five organisations will be invited to tender for the works.
