Central Core Refurbishment Works to 1-64 Sarnia Court in Southampton

Southampton City Council invites applications from suitably experienced contractors who wish to tender for one contract: (1) The works comprise the refurbishment of the central core including the entrance lobby, WC, stairway, office, salon, common room (including kitchen) and laundry room. The works also include the replacement of the existing crittal window systems and existing cladding with a new cladding system with integrated PVCu windows. In addition, a small extension is to be completed to the entrance lobby to enable the front entrance to be moved in line with the new cladding system. Externally, a new access ramp is to be constructed to enable level access to the premises. 1- 64 Sarnia Court is a supported housing complex for older people comprising 64 one bedroom flats and a communal facilities. The accommodation house vulnerable people, many of whom have additional care needs which often entail colleagues from outside agencies visiting them to help with personal care. Access to the properties is therefore vital. Deadlines for submission of prequalification questionnaires are to be by 13th March 2015. Time 12:00. It is anticipated that tender docs will be issued as follows (1) Central Core Refurbishment Works to 1-64 Sarnia Court, Lordshill, Southampton - Tender Documents will be issued March 2015 with a commencement on site early July 2015. The expected duration of the contract is 16 weeks. It is anticipated that tender docs will be issued to a minimum of three and maximum of eight tenderers will be invited to tender for the works.
