Tender description

We require a rapid automated multiplex PCR machine for comprehensive syndromic testing of infectious diseases. This is to be used in a new laboratory which will be built for bespoke Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) Research. The new laboratory will be based in the heart of the University Hospital Southampton close to emergency care to allow rapid sample testing and diagnosis from emergency patient admissions with suspected infectious disease. The system is required to enable the production of precise, accurate results taking around 1 hour with little to no hands-on requirements. We will require a system that is capable of the simultaneous analysis of viruses, bacteria, resistance mechanisms, and fungi.
