The provision of consultancy services to evaluate the costs of renewable generators

Tender description

The Services comprise an assessment of the costs of renewable electricity projects at a variety of scales, and support in evaluating the costs of two prospective policy measures supporting renewable generators, namely the Renewable Electricity Support Scheme (RESS) and a support scheme for small-scale renewable projects. The project will deliver three key outputs, in particular: 1) Cost data: A database of Ireland-specific renewable technology costs and performances covering all of the project archetypes agreed in the project 2) Project Tool: An excel-based tool which leverages the above data to evaluate a) the Levelised Costs of Energy (LCOEs) of all project archetypes, and b) the overall cost of supporting a portfolio of renewable projects under given wholesale electricity price scenarios 3) Costs of support: a report evaluating the costs of supporting a given portfolio of large-scale and community-based renewable electricity projects out to 2030 by drawing on the project tool     For further information please see Request for Tender at www.etenders.gov.ie.
