Tender description
The UK Ministry of Defence (UK MOD) is issuing this prior information notice, without call for competition and without commitment, to invite companies to participate in the market engagement phase for the future of Marine Systems Support (MSS). As part of the Defence Equipment and Support (DE&S) organisation’s continuous improvement programme, the ships operating centre plans to fundamentally transform the business management arrangements in its Marine Systems Support (MSS) division. The MSS Future Strategy programme aims to go further than existing arrangements: it will cover an increased scope of work across substantial portions of the RN and RFA fleet, and the strategic goal is to deliver more agile, effective, and efficient in-service support to the Royal Navy. The objective is for every new MSS contract to facilitate the emergent needs of the Navy in the 21st century. The MSS Market Engagement is to be held on 2.3.2020 aboard HMS Prince of Wales.
