Expected Contract Length 24 months Latest start date Monday 2 March 2020 Budget Range N/A Why the Work is Being Done ONS has a requirement for ongoing BAU support for live Ingres ABF and OpenROAD systems whilst legacy systems are being transformed. We have a requirement to go out to market for this service to be provided until at least February 2022. Problem to Be Solved We have a requirement to ensure the robustness and reliability of existing Ingres and Open Road systems, this includes identifying and reducing risks, resolving incidents, Service Desk requests and change request that meet specific criteria. Who Are the Users As a business user, I need to use the Ingres and Open Road Systems to produce statistical outputs. Early Market Engagement N/A Work Already Done We have recently undertaken a Proof of Concept to determine how we want the support to be managed. This is now driving the decision to go out to market for a Managed Service. Existing Team We have recently undertaken a Proof of Concept to determine how we want the support to be managed. Will ONS sponsor candidates for SC clearance? Yes ONS would. The only caveat is that if for any reason the SC clearance application was declined, it would mean the individual(s) would not be permitted to work with live data. The supplier would then need to provide an equally skilled/experienced substitute to meet the requirements of the role. 2. ONS has received the following question:"Able to work on their own initiative, within agreed parameters and standards – 3%" appears to be repeated. Is this a typo and was there an alternative question that it was intended to ask? Apologies for any inconvenience caused, but yes, this is a duplicate question and therefore the duplicate should be ignored. The 3% weighting for the duplicate question for "Able to work on their own initiative, within agreed parameters and standards" has been added to the following question:"Advanced knowledge and experience of Ingres SQL (15%)" to make this a revised weighting of 18%.Again, please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused.
