The Fund for European Aid to the Most Deprived (FEAD) supports EU countries' actions to provide food and/or basic material assistance to the most deprived. In Ireland, FEAD supports activities that provide aid to the most deprived in our society. These activities are funded through the national Food and/or Basic Material Assistance Operational Programme. The Department of Employment Affairs and Social Protection is the designated managing authority for the Operational Programme. Aligned with the Irish Red Cross Migration Programme the IRC utilise agreed FEAD funding to source, procure, co-ordinate and distribute Basic Material Assistance to migrants who have entered Ireland including those under the Department of Justice and Equality Irish Refugee Protection Programme, at a number of vital stages to support their welcome and integration into Irish Society. To assist the Irish Red Cross in delivering its FEAD Programme the IRC is now seeking tenders from suitably qualified and experienced companies to provide Warehousing and Logistics Services. The scope of the Contract comprises the management, storage and distribution of a range of personal care and household products. The IRC requires a complete service model encompassing stock receipt, storage, stock control, process orders received online, over the phone or via e-mail, retrieval, pick & pack, and distribute/deliver to locations nationwide. Included within stock control is the maintenance of a complete ‘system of record’ which provides an accurate stock on-hand balance per item at all times. The services falling within the scope of the Contract involve, at a high level, but are not limited to: • Acceptance and storage of a wide variety of personal care and household items from IRC suppliers (“the IRC Goods”) • Pick, Kit & Pack of IRC Goods; • Distribution of the IRC Goods/Kits to multiple home and business locations nationwide; • Provision of an online ordering system to be accessed by the IRC; • Acceptance of orders online, by email and
