Tender description

Notice of abandonment of procurement Leeds City Council has a requirement for the provision of hire vehicles through the use of a digital platform for use during this contract. The aim is to establish a digital platform for hire vehicles, for a variety of vehicles, which will cover both short and long term hire and all vehicles will be used by Leeds City Council employees and on occasion members of the public. For avoidance of doubt, the hire sweepers and gully vehicles, and the hire of plant is not included within this contract. Notice of abandonment of procurement To procure a hire service using a digital platform to allow fleet service to be able to access a local hire network provision. The aim of the contract is to provide a reliable, cost effective supply of hire vehicles to all Leeds City Council departments as and when the need arises. The successful contractor will need to be able to respond, often at short notice, to a variety of requirements across multiple areas. The cost of hire of vehicles will be a significant aspect of the contract and it is expected that where vehicles are kept for a longer period of time a reduced rate will be charged. The vision is to achieve sustainable, inclusive and prosperous communities through effective and efficient service delivery and support to other departments to achieve this outcome. The use of hire vehicles is critical to services to carry out their functions where either additional resources are required, or their fleet vehicle is unavailable due to planned or unplanned maintenance repairs.
