Tender description

Border Force (BF) is a Directorate of the Home Office. BF operate a fleet of five (5) Cutters. One of these Cutters, HMC Protector (Telka Class), has a requirement for a period of dry dock to include; a clean and repaint of her hull and additional OEM works The full package of works required is detailed in the attached Statement of Requirements (SoR) - C17434 - HMC Protector - Drydock Jan 2020 - SoR - vf. Following this sourcing exercise based on written quotation, this contract will commence on week beginning the 20th January 2020. Upon successful acceptance of HMC Seeker by the supplier on the 19th January 2020, the work package is required to be undertaken between week beginning 20th January 2020 and 10th February 2020 in line with the Cutters' operational working pattern. The package is to be undertaken in the geographic area on the South and East Coasts of England between Falmouth and the River Tyne. Bidders are required to submit their written quotations in both .pdf and .docx formats. The purpose of this notice is to make the SoR available to, and invite, potential suppliers to confirm they can fully meet the requirements by providing a fully itemised written quotation for the complete and specified work package. The quotation is to be submitted in currency, GBP. Those potential suppliers are invited to send an email to; Ian McDermott, Home Office Commercial at Ian.Mcdermott@homeoffice.gov.uk , confirming their interest in this opportunity, providing the itemised quotation, in addition to confirmation of yard availability on the stated dates. Furthermore, confirmation of agreement to the Home Office Standard Short Form Services Terms and Conditions (C17434 - T&Cs - HMC Protector - HULLCR) on which the contract will be awarded is required. Quotations should also be accompanied by a Cardinal Date Plan (CDP) as stated in the SoR, section 5.9. All required documentation should be submitted via email to Ian McDermott, at the address above, no later than: 1200hrs GMT, Thursday, 9th January 2019. Additional information: ***UPDATED: 18.12.18, 10:51hrs*** Geographical restrictions amended from; Portland - Tyne to Falmouth - Tyne. New parameters are; Falmouth to Tyne. Vessel must be able to be berthed on Sunday 19th January, 2020. Contracted works start on Monday 20th January, 2020. Contracted works must end on Monday 10th February, 2020.
