SHORT DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES The purpose of this early engagement notice is to notify the market of the Department for Education's (DfE) intention to undertake a procurement exercise to appoint suitably experienced bodies to support the delivery of the Early Years Foundation Stage reforms. This will involve multiple opportunities, including providing training events, webinars and video exemplifications. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES : The Department intends to reform the learning and development and assessment requirements stipulated by the Early Years Foundation Stage statutory framework, with national implementation anticipated in September 2021 and an early adopter year expected from September 2020. Contractors will be responsible for developing initiatives that will support the early years workforce and local authorities in preparing for, implementing and embedding the reforms, including: 1. Video Exemplification Materials 2. Webinars for reception teachers and head teachers 3. Events for Local Department representatives ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Organisations that are interested in this anticipated opportunity are invited to attend a Market Engagement Webinar on 20 February 2020, to be held 12.30 - 14:00. Reservations to attend the Market Engagement Webinar on 20 February 2020 should be made by email to EYFS.CONSULTATION@education.gov.uk Reservations to attend the Market Engagement Webinar will be available until 5pm on 19 February 2020. The market engagement information pack will be posted to this engagement notice soon after the event. INDICATIVE DATES FOR PROCUREMENT: The DFE intends to sequentially launch the procurement opportunities, starting from March 2020 onwards. Further information on the procurement processes will be provided during the market engagement activity. The DfE intends to publish a prior information notice (PIN) for each opportunity - a link to each PIN will be uploaded to this engagement notice when published. SCHEDULED DATE FOR PUBLICATION OF CONTRACT NOTICE: The DFE intends to sequentially award contracts from May 2020 onwards. START AND END DATES OF THE CONTRACT: Dependant on the initiative, it is anticipated that start and end dates will range from May 2020 - July 2022.
