CWC19071 - Heath Town Residential Development (HRA 1, 2, 3 and 6) Phase 1

Tender description

The design, construction and commissioning of 40 Nr new housing units, a mix of 2-bedroom and 4-bedroom houses, across four distinct housing plots, namely HRA 1, 2 and 3 on Hobgate Road and HRA 6 on Tithe Croft (off Chervil Rise) inclusive of all statutory services, S278 works improvements, external works and drainage connections. Works are ongoing concurrently across the Heath Town estate with Wolverhampton Homes delivering a major investment programme to upgrade the remaining existing residential blocks. There are other phases of new residential housing development also being planned by the Council and WV Living (a wholly owned subsidiary of the Council) to deliver approximately 150 Nr housing units. Whilst this contract's phased programme has been considered to minimise the interfaces with the Wolverhampton Homes projects the tenderer should be aware that there is a potential for interfaces to exist with other works from time to time. The successful contractor must ensure co-ordination with adjacent contractors such that any of the works on the estates are not unduly disrupted, works are not delayed and health and safety is not compromised. The proposed terms and conditions for this project are the JCT Design and Build Contract 2016, with Amendments. It is assumed that any supplier returning a tender for this requirement will have a copy and is familiar with these terms and conditions and will have previous experience of executing contracts on this basis. A schedule of amendments for the standard JCT Design and Build Contract 2016 has been included as part of this ITT. It should be noted that it is the Council's intention that this requirement will be awarded to a single supplier who will be responsible for the delivery of the entire works.
