Tender description

The Isle of Wight Council invites tenders from suitably qualified suppliers for the provision of contractor services to assist the authority with the safe management of the installed water systems within all Isle of Wight Council Properties. The contract is to cover 4 key areas for all Isle of Wight Council properties relative to managing the risks from Legionella Bacteria: 1) Water system risk assessments and reviews; 2) Routine water system monitoring and management tasks; 3) Water Sampling; and 4) Water system remedial and improvement works. Generally, it can be stated that the primary function of this contract is to minimise the threat and risk from Legionella bacteria and to minimise the risk of an outbreak, however the requirements of this contract concern the overall control of water systems and water hygiene and to detail the limitations in compliance and the steps necessary to bring about such control.
