‘Please note — this is not a public tender competition — market engagement exercise only’. The Agri-food and Biosciences Institute (AFBI) in Northern Ireland is preparing to initiate a procurement process to award a contract for the commercialisation rights to forage grass varieties bred at the AFBI site in Loughgall. AFBI is initiating a market sounding exercise to inform the tender specification for commercialisation rights to AFBI-bred varieties with effect from in or around 1.10.2021. The objectives of this exercise are to: — engender initial supplier awareness, engagement and opinion, resulting in a confidence around viability of concept, — gain insight into market possibilities, — understand risks and issues not previously considered, and — inform the procurement strategy. Please note the deadline for completing the questionnaire is 15.00 on 17.2.2020. Your completed questionnaire response must be uploaded within eTendersNI. Respondents are required to download and complete the questionnaire. To return it you should use the messaging function with the CFT on etendersNI and add the completed questionnaire as an attachment.
