UCD Student Residents Phase 1 Provision of Loose Furniture

UCD Student Residence Masterplan Phase 1 comprises of two residential blocks – Block D & E, as well as a two-storey student centre ‘UCD Village’. ‘Block D’ is a five-core residential block with 455 No student bedrooms, ranging from six to ten storeys in height. ‘Block E’ is a four-core residential block with 409 No student bedrooms, ranging from five to seven storeys in height. Block E also contains a two storey 'Hub' section, which contains a laundrette and other ancillary spaces. The ‘UCD Village’ building is a two-storey student centre, with a 290seat auditorium, restaurant, retail units, gymnasium, health & wellbeing centre, meeting rooms and office accommodation. It also includes a five-storey residential block which contains 60No studio apartments. This gives a total accommodation of 924 No bedrooms. UCD, the Contracting Authority (CA), now intends to purchase loose furniture for UCD Student Residences Masterplan Phase 1 buildings under an ‘open procedure’. Furniture for this project will be supplied and installed in Block D, Block E and UCD Village student break out areas, commercial areas and lounges and as such the furniture will need to be suitable (i.e. quality, aesthetically etc.) for use in these instances. Tenders are therefore being sought from appropriate suppliers for the loose furniture lots and as set out hereafter in these documents. However, it should be noted that for tenderers to be successful in this process, tenderers will be required to satisfy the criteria set out in the Pre-Qualification Questionnaire that forms part of this documentation.
