Request for Information for an Integrated Community Equipment Service for Buckinghamshire

<p>PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION. IT IS NOT A TENDER PROCESS. Buckinghamshire Council is undertaking a preliminary market engagement exercise prior to tendering for services for the Integrated Community Equipment Service (ICES). The current service model facilitates the timely provision of simple and complex aids to daily living, provision of continence products, assistive technology solutions, provision of wheelchair equipment, maintenance of equipment, collection of items no longer required, recycling of equipment and robust data gathering. This offer ensures that residents in Bucks, who have either healthcare or social care needs (or a combination of both) are provided with high quality equipment, aids and/or adaptations that enable them to stay independent and live healthy lives for longer, and crucially to remain at home rather than requiring formal social and healthcare support. This RFI will inform the Council about the market conditions amid the COVID-19 pandemic and the best industry practices in relation to service provision, innovation, social, economic and environmental benefits to communities, deliverability of our requirements and a suitable procurement timeframe. As such, this notice does not formally signify the beginning of a procurement process and does not constitute commitment to undertake a procurement exercise.
