In line with the Government's testing strategy, the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) is seeking to procure positive controls as a statistical quality control quantitative measurement for use on the ePCR technology workflow for Covid-19 testing. In line with the Government's testing strategy, the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) is seeking to procure positive controls as a statistical quality control quantitative measurement for use on the ePCR technology workflow for Covid-19 testing. The purpose of this engagement is to inform the market of DHSC’s intention to procure the positive controls and build an understanding of suppliers in the market who can provide the positive controls hence the issuance of this Prior Information Notice (PIN). DHSC is looking to gauge potential interest and the information received will inform the procurement strategy and most appropriate route to market. Any such procurement process is likely to commence later in December 2020. Expressing an interest is not a mandatory requirement for participating in any potential future procurement; however, responses received will assist in informing DHSC as to the level of interest from the market and will be used to inform the approach to any procurement. Confirmation of your expression of interest is therefore important. Potential suppliers wishing to express an interest in participating in any future tender process should do so by emailing the completed attached form to andrea.bird@dhsc.gov.uk by 12.00 noon on 18 December 2020.
