Tender description

Botwell House is a three form entry primary school in the centre of Hayes Town. We are currently undertaking a building project for a new school hall and kitchen which should be completed towards the end of January 2021. We have 628 pupils on roll from reception to year 6 and unfortunately have only ever been able to provide UIFSM’s for our KS1 and Reception children and packed lunches for our KS2 FSM children. This has been provided by an external catering company (The Pantry) delivering and serving hot meals for our KS1 and Reception children and providing packed lunches to our KS2 FSM children. We are looking for a fully managed catering service in the first instance, based on a 2 plus 1-year (3 + 1) contract to start with, whereby the caterer would provide their own staff but use our brand new kitchen to cook and serve the meals. We would like the caterer to deal with the meal ordering and payments so that the school office does not have additional workload. Our intention is to be able to offer all our children and staff a meal at lunchtime. We understand that the numbers initially will be quite low but would hope that the quality of the food would entice a large percentage of our pupils to opt in for school meals. We would also like some provision for a breakfast club and also, going forward, hospitality for meetings/events.
