Replace Heating Pipework in Carruthers House, Dumfries. Preparatory/ Protection Works - All IT equipment etc to be removed from desks and carefully move to secure storage (BY OTHERS). - Supply and lay sheeted rigid protection to all floor finishes in work areas and agreed access routes. - Supply and fit rigid protection e.g. rigid insulation board to cover desks (Note: all desks are hard-wired and are to remain in place) - All other furniture can be carefully moved where necessary to facilitate the works. Downtakings - Carefully take down and set aside safely all ceiling tiles for re-use. Dismantle existing grid including hangers and edge trims and set aside for re-use. - Isolate, disconnect and remove all light fittings and carefully set aside for re-use. - Remove and set aside all fire alarm fittings. Pipework Replacement Works - For details of works refer to Mechanical Engineers drawings, specification and bill of quantities. The extent of the Works is as follows: - Mechanical Services Downtakings Replacement of sections of LPHW copper pipework with medium quality steel Replacement of sections of chilled water pipework with medium quality steel Replacement valves and fittings as required including 4 port fan coil unit control valves Thermal insulation Water treatment Testing and Commissioning Record documentation - Electrical Services (Part of BMS Remit) Disconnection and reconnection of power and controls to 4 port control valves Earthing and bonding Mechanical services field wiring as required Spares and tools Testing and Commissioning Record documentation Re-instatement Works - Re-fit, connect up and test all light fittings in existing positions. - Re-fit and test all fire alarm fittings. - Re-construct existing ceiling suspension grid and re-fit all ceiling tiles.
