Wastewater Source Control and Licensing (WWSCL) are responsible for managing trade effluent at source through licensing and compliance activities. The Contracting Entity wishes to appoint suitably qualified service providers for Wastewater Source Control /Trade Effluent Services. A key objective of this requirement is to further develop the Wastewater Source Control and Licensing capability deliver on their strategic objectives. The Contracting Entity wishes to appoint a service provider whose responsibilities will include the provision of services associated with but not limited to the following : • Specialist expertise in certain industry sectors and processes /emerging pollutants, novel organic/inorganic compounds and Persistent organic pollutants (POPs) • Specialist expertise in the operation on wastewater treatment plant and network with knowledge of the impact of trade effluent on operations • Compliance auditing of multi sectoral and complex industrial processes • Delivery of sectoral inspection programmes (regulated and/or unregulated) • Specialist industrial/process experience in o waste minimization and o water balance audits • Understanding of relevant environmental legislation and of working in regulated environments or providing support to regulators • Knowledge in trade effluent application process • Wastewater pollution incident investigation including sampling analysis and reporting • Delivering large scale sampling programmes and sectoral statistical analysis of sampling data • Specialists in the development and review of strategic objectives • Resource support for WWSCL activities • Development of tariff frameworks • Project management and business analysts with relevant background (such as Trade Effluent or Waste Waste) to support improvement initiatives and IT projects. • Business sectoral information engagement campaigns
