TWI currently employ three microfocus CT systems, a 225 kV system, a 240 kV system and a 450 kV system. To enhance TWI’s radiographic inspection and research capabilities, TWI have a requirement for a further X-ray Computed Tomography inspection system. This system is to be supplied with its own enclosure and offer at least 450 kV capability, with a 100μm or less focal spot size. Such a system will allow TWI to actively engage in industry-lead research projects in the deployment of CT for the inspection of advanced materials and complex components. Please be advised that TWI are happy to receive tenders offering refurbished or ex-demo equipment providing they meet all necessary requirements. TWI makes extensive use of Computer Tomography (CT) inspection as part of its X-ray inspection services to its clients. The already considerable investment in TWI’s existing X-ray inspection equipment means that it is able to provide useful X-ray inspection services to the benefit of industry and academia.
