Tender description

The University are seeking notes of interest for the supply and delivery of a uniaxial tensile testing rig The University require notes of interest for a potential tender opportunity. The Advanced Forming Research Centre (AFRC) at the University of Strathclyde has need for a uniaxial tensile testing rig capable of performing tensile tests to ASTM standard E2448-18. This rig must be capable of high temperature (circa 1000˚C), low load (<5kN max) and high extension (500% extension of a 25mm gauge length) tensile testing of metallic alloys. The environmental chamber must be able to be filled with a gas of choice. The testing rig must be able to test at strain rates of 0.00001 to 0.02 mm/mm/s.
