<p>Gloucestershire County Council (GCC) is statutorily responsible for delivering Adult Social Care services as underpinned by The Care Act 2014. As part of the Core Council&rsquo;s &lsquo;Looking To The Future&rsquo; strategy and it&rsquo;s emerging Adult Social Care Technology strategy, GCC is looking to trial technologies and digital solutions that promote the independence of the residents of Gloucestershire. The findings of these trials would allow for support and guidance to be offered to residents who may wish to self-purchase equipment, or allow for a service to be offered alongside traditional Social Care services. One identified need that could be met by digital suppliers, is the requirement for a &lsquo;Professional Digital Support System Application + Service&rsquo;. This would provide the residents of Gloucestershire with a support system that helps manage anxiety, make decisions and deal with unexpected situations.
