Maternity Vending Machine

Tender description

The NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership, hosted by Velindre NHS Trust are acting on behalf of Cardiff and Vale University Local Health Board are looking to source some vending machines that would be installed within the Maternity Wards at the University Hospital of Wales. The Health Board is looking to acquire up to three vending machines, with the potential for more to be installed in the future. The Health Board will have the final decision on where the vending machines would be installed within the Wards. The Health Board are looking at only having products in the vending machines that facilitate the requirements of the patients within Maternity. The following categories are: • Maternity Products (E.G. Nappies, Baby Clothes, Wipes) • Hygiene Products (E.G. Hair Shampoo & Conditioner, Toothbrush & Toothpaste, Sanitary Towel) • Sundries (E.G. Small items such as Head/Ear Phones). • Information Packs (All information packs would be patient orientated e.g. Pregnancy guides) Food and Beverages are not required for these machines and therefore any offer providing these items would be declined. The items provided within the above categories would have to be agreed with the department upon award of the contract. The Health Board would not be liable for any damage or faults incurred to any machines. The successful candidate will be expected to maintain all machines. This is a generation income project for the Health Board and the Health Board would not expect to pay suppliers. Suppliers would keep all profits made from the machines.
