Tender description

The 16-25 community mental health service uses recurrent funding secured from NHSE to deliver against its (NHSE’s) long term plan priority of community health. It will be administered by Wakefield’s Mental Health Alliance to adopt an early intervention approach to improve mental health and wellbeing for people aged 16-25 with multiple and challenging needs that the district’s services do not currently meet. The evidence base shows that by intervening at the earliest opportunity a young adult’s trajectory can be altered from a life dominated and adversely affected by mental health services, to one which is more autonomous and empowered. This service is being piloted with a contract award of a maximum of 2 years, with a review of the service after year one.
