Development of New Build Housing

Tender description

Wales & West Housing is looking to establish two regional programmes of new build housing construction in North Wales and West Wales. Within those regions they wish to set up contracts for developments of varying sizes to supplement some existing contracts. In North Wales they will procure two contracts, one each for 'Medium Schemes' and 'Large Schemes' and in West Wales they will procure two contracts for 'Medium to Large Schemes'. There will be an initial project committed to each contract and a commitment to a follow-on programme of similar schemes with costs calculated from initial tendered rates. These four contracts will be for a period of ten years, subject to performance, in order to provide a consistent order book for the selected contractors. It is anticipated that each of the contracts will include a range of 1 - 2 schemes per annum, with an approximate overall annual budget of GBP30m.
