Summary Plant bio-stimulants, inhibited fertilisers (IF) and controlled release fertilisers (collectively referred to herein as enhanced efficiency fertilisers) offer potentially significant productivity, sustainability and resilience gains. This study will review existing evidence and undertake lessons learned, to determine ways to best enable safe and effective use of such products, and to define outstanding R&D priorities.
