DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT Connswater Homes are undertaking a procurement exercise to obtain Design and Build opportunities in the Newtownabbey Borough and require an Employers Agent Team to assist in delivery of any Design and Build contracts. The successful provider may be appointed to a number of individual contracts depending on how Developer contracts are awarded. Connswater Homes best estimate is this project is for the provision of an estimated 54 units (delivered across 2 sites / contracts in the Newtownabbey Borough) by means of a Land, Design and Build Competition, where the Developer provides the land, designs, constructs and completes the scheme for Connswater Homes in accordance with the DfC Housing Association Guide; Employers Requirements and statutory body requirements. Employers Agent Appointment Connswater Homes intend to appoint an Employers Agent consultancy team to act on behalf of Connswater Homes as per the scope of services. The successful consultant will be appointed for the contract(s) duration which is anticipated as not exceeding 36 months (from initial design review through to expiry of making good defects period). This timescale does not account for further impacts of COVID-19. The successful Employers Agent Team will perform their duties under an NEC3 Professional Services Contract 2013 As Amended.
