Tender description

West Sussex County Council has a statutory duty to ensure regular surveys are undertaken to determine the condition of public highways within the County of West Sussex. West Sussex County Council is seeking a service provider to undertake such services as described in Document 2: The service specification. The tender will be split into the following lots. Contracts will be awarded on a lot by lot basis to the highest scoring bidder for each lot: Lot 1: Highway Inventory Data Collection; Lot 2: Coarse Visual Inspection (CVI) Survey of Unclassified ‘D’ roads and all Roundabouts; Lot 3: Scanner Survey of A, B and C Roads; Lot 4: Footway Maintenance Survey; Lot 5: SCRIM Survey and Site Investigation. The survey comprises the collection of only WSCC highway maintainable inventory items with associated attributes and geometrical values for eastings and northings on point items only. These items are found on all classified and adopted county roads within West Sussex as well as remote footways and cycleways with the exception of Trunk Roads and Motorways which are the responsibility of Highways England.
